ABSTRACT. – While conducting a survey along the Southern Apulian coast (SE Italy), a specimen belonging to the Lessepsian migrant Siganus luridus was observed and photographed in December 2013 during a night dive at 2 m depth, near Porto Badisco, in the district of Otranto. A second one was caught during daytime with a small fishing net, in October 2014 by a hobbyist fisherman, near the Port of Gallipoli. The two records represent the first occurrence belonging to this species in the Apulian waters and a new record from the coastal waters of the Italian peninsula.
